How to Change the PLC of a Paper Sheeter: A Step-by-Step Guide

Replacing the Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) of a paper sheeter is a crucial task that ensures the smooth functioning of the machine. However, this process can lead to the loss of touch screen data, necessitating the re-input of system parameters. In this guide, we will walk you through the steps to change the PLC of a paper sheeter and guide you in reconfiguring the system parameters to get the machine up and running efficiently.

Step 1: Preparation

Before beginning the PLC replacement process, ensure that you have the necessary tools and equipment. This may include screwdrivers, pliers, a machine electric wiring drawing, and the user manual for reference.

Step 2: Shut Down the Machine

To avoid any accidents or damage to the equipment, turn off the paper sheeter and disconnect it from the power source. It is essential to follow proper safety procedures during this step.

Step 3: Remove the Old PLC

Re-enter the required system parameters such as unwind tension settings, speed settings, knife squareness settings, and any other relevant configurations.

Once the new PLC is installed, programmed, and system parameters are inputted, it is time to conduct thorough testing. Power on the paper sheeter and run test sheets through the machine to ensure that it operates correctly.
